Hi, I'm Emmalee
You are welcome here.
I’m honored to be considered as part of your journey through the challenges you’re facing. I believe that every person deserves the most fulfilling life where they are seen, heard, and supported in finding deep satisfaction and joy.
First and foremost, I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and comfortable space. My approach is grounded in an anti-oppressive and feminist framework,
and I welcome curiosity and open dialogue about how this perspective can contribute to your healing goals.
I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach tailored to each client, drawing from evidence-based practices including:
-
EMDR therapy
-
Attachment theory
-
Therapeutic writing
-
Mindfulness
-
IFS- and polyvagal-informed approaches
-
Nature-based therapy (offered at a local park or walking paths)

I’m especially passionate about working with:
-
Trauma survivors longing for deep and lasting healing
-
LGBTQIA+ individuals looking for an affirming, safe space
-
Neurodivergent (diagnosed or self-identified) folks seeking answers or support
-
Men exploring emotional depth and growth
-
Clients who are open to the healing powers of humor—therapy is hard work but we can also have some fun

In our work together, I will meet you where you are and support you in building empowerment and self compassion to navigate whatever life has in store for you.
A little about me:
I proudly identify as a bisexual, neurodivergent woman. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy writing poetry, reading too many books, and spending time in nature.
I earned my Master of Social Work in 2022 from the University of Cincinnati and my bachelor’s degree in education and social policy from Northwestern University in 2016.

My background includes work in special education, early childhood education, public health, community mental health, and private practice.
