Office and Group Rental Space Now Available

Hi, I'm Avery
As an art therapist and clinical counselor, I work from a strengths-based, relational perspective, using creativity and connection to support healing. With over a decade of experience, I offer a supportive, affirming space where you can make sense of your experiences, build tools to navigate life’s stressors, and create meaningful, lasting growth.

I provide individual and group therapy for adults (18+) and specialize in anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma. My approach is trauma-informed and integrates the creative process and active art making. I believe words can only take us so far. We often filter what we share—or struggle to find the language at all. Art therapy allows us to move beyond words and access deeper layers of insight and healing. There is no formula for art or therapy, and no art experience is needed. I’ll guide you with materials and techniques while honoring your pace and goals.
While I believe art is inherently therapeutic, I also understand it may feel outside your comfort zone. I am equally comfortable offering traditional talk therapy and view our work as collaborative, flexible, and tailored to your unique needs.

Together, we’ll create an approach that feels right for you. You can expect a compassionate, curious, and supportive space centered on your growth.

A little bit about me:
I am married and have 3 daughters. The beach is my happy place, I love trees and making art is life giving for me.

In and out of the therapy room, you will often find me sitting on the floor or curled up under a blanket.

I earned my Masters in Art Therapy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012. Throughout my career, I've focused on supporting individuals and families navigate trauma. I am passionate about the field of art therapy and share my knowledge as an adjunct instructor at the University of Cincinnati.

I look forward to getting to know you.
